course narrative
Dr. Urioste and Dr. Saito-Abbott were our guides in this course. This course was designed to explain in depth of how the Spanish and the Japanese major works. This was one of the first classes I took during my first semester doing my major classes. This class was extremely important to take because It helped me decided if I wanted to continue on with the major or not and I did. We learned about everything we ca do as a language major. We had different people present to us, many of them former students of CSUMB that persevered as a language major. With the help of this class I started to brain storm my future career and I started to develop different career plans. With this class we went to go visit the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. This became my dream graduate school. I loved this institute because it offered the opportunity to be much more than what I expected as a language major. We were guaranteed a career before we graduated from this institute and many of the in Washington D.C. Also with this course, we began to narrate our e-portfolios, and create our ILP's. Without the help of our instructors and this course I would of been lost as a new Spanish major. This class is indeed important and helpful for any person that is a language major.
